| Purohit,
who joined Radio Mirchi in September 2001 as the station head of the first Mirchi
station in Indore was working as Regional Director central region in his last
assignment . In his new role as Business Evangelist, he will work alongside the
Cluster Heads and Regional Directors to personally coach and guide operation heads
in smaller and new markets with effect May 2008. He will work along side station
heads to improve business metrics, processes and ensure a uniformity of the Mirchi
culture across the network. Gautam
Shahane, who is assuming the role of Head Content, Alliances, will lead the team
in conceptualising and providing innovative radio content and other specifically
created content to mobile and Internet platforms. Prior to this, he was engaged
in Business Development for Radio Mirchi and was instrumental in tripling revenues
for Mirchi Activation. Sriram
Kilambi is replaced by Prashant Chacko as the Cluster Head for the Eastern region.
Chacko is a new entrant in the Mirchi family . He is responsible for the Kolkata
Station, with additional supervisory role over the Patna station. Chako's last
assignment was with Airtel where he worked since 2004. Speaking
on the new development, ENIL COO Nandan Srinath said, "This is an important
time for Radio Mirchi as we have recently launched new stations across the country.
We are confident that Alok Purohit, Gautam Shahane and Prashant Chacko will continue
to lead Radio Mirchi from strength to strength. With their vast experience and
technical expertise, they are sure to provide the leadership required to ensure
that Mirchi fully capitalises on the tremendous growth that we anticipate in the
