Moon's out, Goons out. The calendar sorted out the undercurrent for #HGCircus this month, so you can thank Halloween for the Freak Show theme! Not that things don’t get strange enough on their own at our monthly blowouts, but this time they are taking things a few steps beyond what’s acceptable. They have got mutated decor, grotesque guests and a freak-filled lineup to boot. Skrat- Skrat is a Indian Heavy Rock band from Chennai in the South of India. The Current members include -the founding members T.T. Sriram on Vocals and Guitars, Tapass Naresh on Drums; and newly added Bass-man Jhanu. Following a few line-up changes and a hiatus or two, the core members of the band have managed to keep the music alive over several years. The band has released three self-produced albums and is in the process of recording its fourth. Tansane- Tansane strives, to find new and innovative production and performance techniques to blend together melodies, harmonies and time signatures into a soundscape that has the listener undertaking a journey through the music, and thereby experiencing it's ability to transform and translate the various nuances of reality. Oceantied- Oceantied is the solo electronic project started by Until We Last guitarist Ketan Bahirat and is an exploration of Ketan’s electronic music headspace. Oceantied’s music can be ambient, dancey, upbeat or anything in between. His music explores two main sides of the spectrum with downtempo tracks, alongside fast-paced footwork & jungle music. Live band Skrat will rep Chennai’s brotherhood of the musical monstrosities, while Tansane and Oceantied are standing in for Mumbai’s and Bangalore’s, respectively. It’s the one night in the year nobody cares that you’re actually a hockey-mask-wearing axe murderer or a lonely boy with scissors for hands, so let your inner weirdo out before you show up. Feel free to seek vengeance on anybody who ever hurt your freaky feelings, just limit the weaponry to your dance moves.
