Housefull 3's 'Pyar Ki' is a 90s song gone completely wrong

Song: Pyar Ki

Singers: Shaarib and Toshi Ft. Nakkash Aziz ,Divya Kumar, Anmol Malik, Earl Edgar

Music: Shaarib & Toshi

Lyrics: Manoj Yadav ,Farhad-Sajid, Danish Sabri

Label: T-Series

MUMBAI: Music composers Shaarib-Toshi are on a roll these days with their music appearing in various 2016 Bollywood films, but in 'Pyar Ki' song they fail to create anything new. The music is redundant. We have probably heard this music in Bollywood films umpteen times and so, we did not find a wow moment anywhere in this song.

However, there are too many thumbs down moments in this 'Pyar Ki - Maa Ki' song. The biggest flaw of this song undoubtedly is the lyrics. We understand that this is a third edition of 'Housefull' which is meant to be a brainless comedy, but we do not understand the reason to have senseless lyrics in a song.

With a star cast like that and all those beautiful locales, the makers of this film could have tried something better than the 'baa baa black sheep' rap and the cheesy 'Pyaar Ki Maa Ki' lyrics.

The song is definitely going viral, but we don't believe it is for good reasons. Can we blame lyrics writers Manoj Yadav, Farhad-Sajid and Danish Sabri for the lyrics? Was this the filmmaker's brief? If so, did it require three lyricists to come up with this gem of a song? We are foxed.

Singers Nakkash Aziz ,Divya Kumar, Anmol Malik and Earl Edgar have sung the song well but, it all falls flat because of not-so-creative music and sad lyrics.

One can watch this song just to have a hearty laugh. But, If you are looking out for some music, you better check other 2016 songs.
