The Flexican tunes into his South-American roots with new record 'Come To Me'

MUMBAI: The established Dutch DJ and producer, The Flexican AKA Thomás Goethals returns with a fresh new track, Come To Me. Released under Studio KOTO, the song has a contemporary and refined R and B sound, demonstrating to be at the forefront of the genre.

With a history of renowned and dynamic releases including the platinum record, Watch Out For This (Bumaye), The Flexican has earned his reputation as a skilled producer. With a knack for scouting workable samples, and turning them into global hits, Thomás was honoured to have the opportunity to dive into Fania Records’ collection back in 2016. Come to Me came to fruition after two years of digging through Fania’s archives of approximately 19.000 master recordings and 8.000 compositions.

With a cutting-edge sound that truly represents modern R and B, this new track is a testament to The Flexican’s ability to push genre bounds, and represents his broad, tried and tested taste in music.

“I have experimented with a lot of different music over the years but this track has taken me on a full circle back to the beginning of my career, as sampling 70s & 80s Latin music is how it all started,” said The Flexican.

The Flexican’s new sound encompasses everything from hip-hop, R and B, house and techno while he isn’t afraid to experiment with unique projects. From the recent Japanese inspired ME?EP, which preceded the African inspired Les Demoiselles d'Avignon, to his latest Latin-influenced release, he is quickly attracting attention as a dynamic DJ and producer who has something for everyone.

Crowds across Asia will be the next to experience The Flexican’s acclaimed productions, as he tours through Jakarta, Seoul, and Bali, before returning to his home turf for two epic shows during Amsterdam Dance Event.
