Riley Pearce releases 'Misplaced' with new video backed with Triple J's 'Unearthed'

MUMBAI: Riley Pearce’s gorgeous and morose release, Misplaced is now accompanied by a beautifully simple and genuine new video that has already had backing from Triple J ‘s Unearthed - receiving over 35k views in 24 hours. This latest release follows on from a notable 2017 that saw Riley play his first international shows in London, and pick up a WAM Song of the Year Award in Australia and had one of his songs feature in the US hit show Shadow hunters. This is quite a tipping point for the quietly masterful young Australian artist who is already making notable waves.

Speaking on the track Riley states, "I wrote Misplaced early on in a new relationship. I was really anxious and unsure of what I wanted and whether it was all going to work out. It’s pretty hard when two people like each other but are so different. It’s a brutally honest song… probably the most from I’ve written.”

With his debut Outside The Lines EP (released early 2016) amassing over 6 Million streams on Spotify, Riley built a substantial amount of anticipation for his new release - Misplaced. A fragile, layered and complex melody balanced by Riley’s raw style, keeps the bar set at very high for an artist that should be on a lot of different radars this year.
