Holland states 'Demons' is a dark track about a troubled soul

MUMBAI: Having gained critical acclaim from the likes of The Line Of Best Fit, Going Solo , Press Play Okay and Lost Culture amongst others for her most recent release Forget Your Name earlier this year, Amsterdam born artist Holland blasted back into the scene with one of the cult emerging tracks of the year. The young star now returns in typically slow burning, passionate and icy fashion with her new release Demons.

With further support at BBC Introducing South, her newest teaser for 2017 is immediately seductive and inventive enough to maintain her profile as a severely emerging talent. Demons is another subtle but bass line heavy production in association with Jake Gosling Sticky Studios with Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes.

Holland’s smoky, enthralling vocal that sets her quite apart though. Conjuring the ethereal cadence of Lorde or XYLO with a naturally dangerous barb to her tone, the young artist again exudes enough swagger to mark her as a bonafide force. Speaking on the track Holland states, “Demons is a dark track about a troubled soul, who can’t escape as they have fallen into a dark selfish lifestyle affecting people around them. I feel as if throughout the track I’m trying to give them a reality check whilst still trying to be supportive.”
