Jacob Plant reveals notable music video for latest single 'About You' with Maxine

MUMBAI: Jacob Plant has unveiled the visually stunning music video for his latest single About You featuring rising vocalist Maxine.

Shot over the course of a night, the video for About You is directed by Sleepy Puppies. Through crisp cinematography and energetic freestyle dance routines, the production focuses on sparkling silver colours as a young man attempts to find the cause of the plethora of glitter spreading over his body.

With upbeat energy, the perfectly routined choreography of the piece adds to underpinned themes of freedom, with the main focus of the video accepting his fate and embracing who he has become through interpretative dance on an isolated rooftop.

Following the success of last year’s dancefloor hit Bike Engine featuring Stylo G, About You highlights Jacob’s diverse production skills as he creates an infectious track driven by bubble like synths and a bass heavy rhythm. Maxine’s soaring vocals are lusciously layered over the top to create a pop infused melody.

Continuing to champion underground talent, About You marks the first track from Maxine, who is signed to the management company credited for Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa and Charlotte OC’s success.

As a beat making wunderkid, Jacob Plant’s progressive attitude towards his productions has given him the ability to branch out of genre boundaries. The dynamic producer is responsible for Fly Eye Records’ biggest non Calvin Harris release, All Night featuring Tujamo. Supported by the likes of Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Danny Howard, the track reached on Beatport’s electro house chart. Jacob’s 2016 release, dance floor hit ‘Bike Engine’ also achieved critical acclaim, and has been nominated for the ‘Video of the Year’ at this September’s AIM awards.

Handpicked to craft remixes for huge artists such as Tinie Tempah and Example, Plant’s productions have catapulted across international airwaves and allowed him to perform in front of thousands at Lollapalooza, Reading & Leeds, HARD Day of the Dead, and even Wireless Festival.
