MUMBAI: The Eleventh Edition of Bipin R Pandit's Khumaar took place on 5 February 2017. The musical extravaganza was sponsored by Colors, powered by Dainik Bhaskar, in association with Mahindra & Mahindra Limited was attended by 650 music enthusiasts and who's who of Media, Marketing, and Advertising Industry.

The likes of Pradeep Guha, Bharat Dabholkar, Ramesh Narayan, Pratap Bose, Subhash Kamath, Ajay Chandwani, Pradeep Dwivedi, PareshChaudhry, Ramesh Iyengar,  Jaideep Gandhi, Sandeep Khosla, Vikram Gaikwad and Bhushan Khot graced the function and enjoyed the music immensely.

The theme this year was ‘Valentine Special - Only Romantic Songs’. A very fine blend of old and new songs were rendered by nine singers of repute who are hugely experienced and sing professionally for their living. The event lasted for four and half hours and people still wanted more of it.

Khumaar today has become a Brand and surely it is quite grand too. It is a complete package that has Compering, Mimicry, Sher Shayari, old songs with a fine blend of new songs and a regional song segment. The Qawwali segment remains the most popular one. Khumaar will soon go Regional at various places like Pune, Baroda and Nasik.

Khumaar unearths talent and gives scope to a budding artist under the segment ‘Khumaar Ki Khoj’. This year it had two singers in the voice of Kishore Kumar and two young talented girls who presented a dance sequence on a film song.

Khumaar owner and founder Bipin R Pandit says, “I am thankful to God for making me an artist. I have used my art to give happiness to people and that is a huge blessing. Also, the pleasure of giving a platform to a talented person gives the immense satisfaction that is beyond description in words.”

I've been attending Bipin Pandit's Khumaar for many years now with my family. It's great to hear all those wonderful songs of the yesteryears performed by young talent. Some of the singers are really awesome. And to top it all, Bipin's colourful comparing, his mimicry and sense of humour, make it a truly entertaining evening.

Khumaar is far more than a musical show; it is an amazing musical experience! What makes it so magical is how each year continues to surprise you! Kudos to Bipin, his family, and team for giving us this pleasure!

Khumaar is unexplainable. From the periphery, it seems like a hundred other musical shows. But once you are seated, you are transported to the innocence years - those days from childhood where you had unadulterated fun. Though Bipin is a Rafi bhakt, the show reminds me of Kishore Kumar. Not for the songs, but for the way music and masti play chor-police. The mind forgets analyzing why your jaws are aching and gives in to the heart that doesn’t care for the jaw. Bipin announces a song in his inimitable style and you feel as if you are watching radio. The singers get so close to the original that when you shut your ears, you get goosebumps. Is Kishore alive? When the song ends, Bipin becomes a poet, an emcee, a silly fellow, a magician and a great human being - all in a few minutes. When I look back at the year, I realize that Khumaar was the only occasion where I stayed happy for 5 hours non-stop. Seen thus, Khumaar is intoxication sans a hangover. When's the next Khumaar, Bipin?

Over the period of past 10+ occasions, I have seen this fantastic evolution of this platform where you not only have given fantastic musical intoxication but have promoted a great talent too.

I am sure with your dedication passion and knowledge of music you will take KHUMAAR to the next level of entertainment!!! You keep your audience fully engaged and entertained and I always look forward to the next event. Keep it up.

February 5th was my second experience of Bipin Pandit's musical curation, Khumaar.  I think the program is only getting better. It's carefully curated, very well presented with the punch Bipin keeps adding during the program. Actually, it was asking for a little more for me this time. Didn't realize when the program got over.

I feel it is a huge amount of hard work to put together something like this. It's a result of commendable passion and drives Bipin puts in. I also witness his leadership qualities here, keeping the team together and constantly motivating them and allowing them to be the stars. All in all, it's a great experience and I am already looking forward to the next season.
