MK's 'My Love 4 U' remix package released

MUMBAI: After having been a major success at festival and events throughout 2016, MK will now be releasing a remix package for his most recent single, 'My Love 4 U', due for release on the 13 January.

MK has provided a remix of his own track alongside protégé KC Lights. The club-friendly remix features echoey synth arpeggios and deep bass chords, emphasizing A*M*E’s soaring vocals. The remix also comes with a dub version without the vocal verses. Popular producers and in-demand remixers Camelphat have also stepped up to take on the track, pairing a grooving house bassline with short vocal samples from the original for their own distinctive dancefloor-orientated take on ‘My Love 4 U’. LA-based Dirtybird producer Justin Jay brings his own ‘90s Dub’, a stomping, percussive rework that builds up to a pitched-up sample of A*M*E’s bridge. The much-loved original radio edit and extended version of the track are also included in the package.

The release of ‘My Love 4 U’ Remixes kick off what looks set to be a busy year for MK. Multiple plans are in the works for his newly launched Area 10 brand, after the project saw MK hosting festival stages across the world and take on an Ibiza residency at the world-famous Pacha.

MK was born and grew up in Detroit, the city that has been labelled as the true breeding ground of house and techno music. Over the last few years, MK has swiftly become one of the world’s most in-demand producers and remixers. Several of his earlier releases, including ‘Always’ and ‘Burning’, were instrumental in first helping dance music cross over into the mainstream. He’s well known for his remix of Storm Queen’s ‘Look Right Through’ - which hit #1 in the UK singles chart - and that of Wankelmut & Emma Louise’s ‘My Head Is A Jungle’. He’s since remixed Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, Rudimental, Katy B, Bastille, London Grammar, Rufus Du Sol and Pharrell to name but a few; his version of Aurora’s ‘I Went Too Far’ is his latest remix success.

With 2017 festival dates stacking up fast a host of new original productions in the works, it’s clear that MK remains at the top of his game as a DJ, producer and curator.
