Across Seconds to get a wild card entry to Independence Rock Grand Finale

MUMBAI: EsselWorld, the country’s most popular and largest amusement park, in association with the much acclaimed Independence Rock hosted a rock band competition - EsselWorld Rock. Mumbai-based ‘Across Seconds’ emerged as the champions in the competition which was held at the EsselWorld premises on September 24, 2016.

The winner will get a wild card entry to perform at Independence Rock Grand Finale 2016 on October 1, 2016. They will also perform at India's largest open-air bash at EsselWorld - The BigNite on 31 December 2016.

Around 30 Rock bands across the country enrolled online with their original songs for the rock competition out of which six were shortlisted. Three rock bands - Across Seconds, Eternal Returns and Tripp Pilots were finally selected to perform their gigs at EsselWorld Rock finale.

Judges comprising of Mr Shankar B, Ms Barkha Kaul and Mr A. Thyagraj were very much impressed by the heart-touching music played by all the bands and in a stiff competition declared instrumental band - Across Seconds as the winner. Across Seconds were represented by Dhawal Mehta, Karan Mehta, Swar Joshi and Karan Kadadekar.
