Makers rope in international artistes for 'M Cream'

MUMBAI: Just like the eclectic cast of the film and the controversial topic, 'M Cream' also boasts of a rather out-of-the-box soundtrack. The quirky fusion of western rock and desi folk peppered with psychedelic trance has already made the music a big hit at festivals across the world and director Agneya Singh admits that the music in itself is an integral part of the film.

And for it, adds Agneya, they even roped in international artists such as Brazilian pop singer Lili Rocha and French folk-rock band Moriarty. “Besides, them the soundtrack also features several notable musicians and songwriters including Shubha Mudgal, Faridkot’s IP Singh, Parikrama’s Srijan Mahajan, urban folksinger Susmit Bose, singer/songwriter Shantanu Pandit, Sarangi player Suhail Yusuf Khan, bass player Gaurav Balani, Nikhil Malik from ‘Half Step Down’ and Arsh Sharma from ‘The Circus’” says the debutant director.

The film revolves around the protagonist played by Imaad Shah, who sets out in search of a mythical hash called ‘M cream’ with a group of friends. Written and directed by Agneya Singh, the film also stars Ira Dubey, Barry John, Auritra Ghosh, Raaghav Chanana, Tom Alter, Lushin Dubey and Beatrice Ordeix and is set to release on 22 July 2016.
