Haber scores record sales for Grammys

Harrish M Bhatia: The Radio section of IRS is an utter waster of time!

Asked for his views on the findings of Q4 of the IRS results on Radio, Harrish M Bhatia, the tenacious CEO of the 17-station MY FM network, certainly doesn't mince his words. Rubbishing the IRS results' finding that Radio has de-grown, he wonders how any media planner can take big buy decisions on the basis of a stagnant report that reports a sheer sample size of 9 for a city like Raipur.

MUMBAI: 92.7 BIG FM, the radio initiative of Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL), made Holi a unique experience by  surprising the participants of Big Toss, a popular reality show on India TV. RJ Aparshakti and RJ Vidhi enacted the role of   a couple who belong to different castes and  face terrible opposition from their parents and hence eloped. They are chased by a violent mob and as a result gate-crash the sets of Big Toss.

Mobile Cloud-Based Music Streaming Services Will Be Mainstream by 2016, Says ABI Research

MUMBAI: Mass consumption of recorded music continues to evolve, as ownership continues to diminish in importance. A new study from ABI Research forecasts that by 2016 streaming (cloud-based) services will become a more important form of access to music than owning albums, songs or tracks. This shift will primarily be driven by the growing use of mobile handsets, especially smartphones, as listening devices.

MUMBAI: 94.3 MY FM was conferred an award at The Laadli Media Awards for Gender Sensitivity 2010-2011. The Laadli Media Awards acknowledges and celebrates the efforts by various media houses providing gender-just perspectives, portrayals and analyses.
