Udit Narayan worried about family members in Nepal

MUMBAI: Famed Bollywood singer, Udit Narayan is worried about a few of his relatives who are unreachable post the recent catastrophic earthquake that devastated major parts of Nepal and hit some parts of India. Narayan, who was born in Nepal, spent quite a few years in the country. For eight years, the singer worked at a local radio station as a singer there.

When quizzed about his relatives, the ‘Main Yahan Hoon’ singer said, “Most of my family members are from the Indian border of Nepal since we are Jha. But I was born in Nepal and I did spend a few years of my life there. So I have a few composer friends there who we have been trying to get in touch with, but are unable to do so. Also, some of my family members have been working in some parts of Nepal, and we have not been able to get in touch with them.”

Narayan has praised the job of Indian Air Force and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who have supported the victims whole heartedly. “I would really like to thank our Prime Minister who without even a second thought sent help to our neighbouring country. After all, our cultures are almost the same,” he added.

He is praying for the well being of not just his relatives, but the entire country of Nepal. The veteran singer also said that he wants Bollywood to come together to help the victims of the earthquake.
