Tulsi Kumar: I have recorded a peppy number with Meet Brothers

MUMBAI: ‘Baarish’ singer, Tulsi Kumar is not only elated but also thankful to the audience for accepting her voice for the peppy number ‘Ek Paheli Leela’. Encouraged by the reception she got, Kumar has now recorded yet another upbeat track for Meet Brothers, and also has an upcoming single which is sort-of romantic, and also has an element of peppiness to it.

“I would not say that I shall stop singing soft romantic numbers completely, but I am very happy with the responses I have received from ‘Saaiyan Superstar’. I was initially skeptical about trying out this genre but now I enjoy doing peppy numbers,” revealed the songstress.

Being the daughter of Gulshan Kumar and the sister of head honcho Bhushan Kumar, for Tulsi scrutiny comes automatically. “Every star kid undergoes pressure. I made sure that my behavior was such that my parents would be proud of. I was a brilliant student in my school and college. Professionally I just give my best and leave the rest,” she added.

Kumar also collaborated with Arjun, a UK artist for the track ‘All Of Me’, which was released on YouTube on Wednesday, 27 May. The track is a recreation of the song ‘Baarish’ from the film ‘Yaariyan’. The original rights of the track remain with Mithoon. Both, Kumar and Arjun, coordinated over the phone for the track as he resides in UK.

She recently wed a Jaipur based businessman and according to her nothing has changed her life yet. “It is great to be married into a family where everyone, including my mother in law renders their unconditional support. I am not good at marketing myself and my husband actually pushes me to do so,” Kumar said.

The ‘Tum Jo Aye’ singer has decided to perform live and has been in talks with a lot of artistes for the same. By the end of the year she will also start her individual performances.
