Sukhbir Singh detained, disappears in Pakistan

MUMBAI: Indian pop singer Sukhbir Singh on 9 August fled from the Karachi airport after authorities found $27,000 in his luggage, the media reported.

Bhangra singer Singh was on his way to Dubai, when a luggage screening check showed the money in his bag, Pakistani custom authorities detained him for interrogation.

But somehow, he gave slip to the officials and disappeared from the airport, Dawn online reported.

Punjabi-born singer Singh, has spent 20 years in Nairobi and then moved to Dubai in 1992 and has been travelling to various countries for gigs. He is the same singer who rendered vocals for the track ‘Dil Laga’ in Dhoom 2.

Last year, he featured in a project titled ‘Imagine’ by Dina Gabri which also featured Naguale.
