MUMBAI: Actor Shaleen Bhanot has turned singer for the single ‘Dooba Hooa Hain.. Kamasutra’. The single is composed by Taz from Stereo Nation and lyrics are penned by Arko Pravo Mukherjee.

Commenting on the new project Bhanot said, "I like to entertain my fans and this is a new side. I wanted to try it. I took us six months to put the song and music video together."

Recalling the reason, he sang for the video, he said, "Taz heard me singing and he told me that I should sing. But I thought about it for a while before I took it up. He encouraged me by saying that my voice is good and I will be able to sing. I am happy that I tried it for my fans." He claimed that the big budget music video involved more than 128 people; and multiple sets and background.

The single will be out by 15 January and will be available under Zee Music.

Bhanot, who produced the music video under his new production house said, "There is lot of scope for singles even though there is no scope for revenue. I am not doing it for revenue but for my passion. I loved the track and so I wanted to justify it with a larger video."

Along with India, the single will be launched in a few other countries around the world like UK, US and Canada.

He plans to unveil four more singles this year under his production house provided his fans "love and enjoy his work." Bhanot’s inspiration in music is his mother, who holds years of experience in Indian music. "I believe that the singing skills that I have are all because of her. She used to get-up early in the morning and practise, but I never practised with her." He does not have any training in singing but he is currently learning to play instruments like the guitar.

The 'Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein' actor does not plan to produce any shows, but will stick to music production. Giving his point of view as a producer and owner of the production house, he stated, "I would love for people to come to me and my production house for help. I would be more than willing to promote new music talents. As a production company I would like to help them even though I am not part of the video or audio."

Bhanot is currently working on two movies 'Love Ke Funde' and 'Chal Jhoothe'.
