Music of upcoming film 'Jaanisaar' Launched In Delhi

NEW DELHI: Pakistan actor-singer Imran Abbas, who has done many Pakistani films and was seen opposite Bipasha Basu in ‘Creature 3D’ in 2014, has said that choosing the film ‘Jaanisaar’ has been his best decision so far.

“I was even offered ‘Aashiqui 2’ but choosing this film is my best decision so far. After doing this film, my aim of coming up with something different has been fulfilled,” he said.

Abbas was speaking at a function to launch the music of the film in the capital. ‘Jaanisaar’ director Muzaffar Ali, remembered for his ‘Umrao Jaan’, was also present along with producer Meera Ali and female lead Pernia Qureshi.

A special performance was presented by Qureshi on the song ‘Hamein Bhi Pyaar Karle’.
The director said Qureshi is a magical woman who spreads her magic all around and garners everyone’s praises.

Excited about her role she said “I am extremely happy to play a character named ‘Noor’ in the film. This character made me a better person. There are so many qualities in her that I've admired and tried to imbibe”

Muzaffar Ali, referred to his wife Meera who has produced the film and also designed the costumes, said “All the flaws in the film are mine. All the positives are hers."

The singer of the film, Malini Awathi, too captured the moment by singing the song ‘Teri Kaaili Nigahon Ne Maara’.

‘Jaanisaar’ is a love saga of a revolutionary courtesan of Avadh and a prince brought up in England, set 20 years after the first war of Indian independence of 1857. Depicting the story of a revolutionary dancer, the film will be releasing on 7 August.
