Meet Brothers Anjjan: Romantic songs are our strength

MUMBAI: Meet Brothers and Anjjan rocked the chartbusters last year with the song 'Baby Doll' which was sung by Kanika Kapoor. The trio's other composition- 'Pink Lips' also topped the charts. Overall, 2014 was extremely fruitful for them, as they bagged their first accolade for 'Baby Doll' and there are a few nominations in pipeline.

"The year 2014 had been amazing work wise. 'Baby Doll' was even played at the small town of Morocco. Also the song bagged the BIG Star Most Entertaining Song award, so we are extremely happy. More than awards, the respect and the love have increased," said Harmeet, one of the Meet Brothers.

"We have 40 songs releasing in 2015; one of them is 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' in the film 'Roy' which is a groovy romantic number. Out of the 40 songs composed, there are a few romantic numbers. So this year people will hear a different side of us. I believe that romantic songs are our strength," he added. Like 'Baby Doll', 'Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan' is sung by Kanika Kapoor. "I love this song more than 'Baby Doll' and I am very eager to see the response of listeners. The 'Baby Doll' team has come together again so keeping my fingers crossed," he elaborated.

They also composed the track 'Hai Yehi Zindagi' which was crooned by Mohammed Irfan for the Salman Khan starrer 'Kick' but was not promoted enough. Different from their usual compositions, the track was not used extensively in the film. When asked if they were disappointed about the same, he said, "I admit that people have not heard the song and I was disappointed because the entire track could not be used in the film. But we do not wish to blame the director or the producer," he explained.

The pressure of expectations does not bother them as they believe in doing their best and leaving the rest to God. "We just believe in putting our best foot forward and do not bother about the results," he concluded.
