Mark Ronson to make India debut with NH7 Weekender 2015 performance

MUMBAI: English musician-singer Mark Ronson has been announced to play at NH7 Weekender 2015. The festival’s organiser- Only Much Louder (OML) bagged Ronson, who has produced multi-platinum, Grammy-winning albums for likes of Amy Winehouse and Adele, to play in three cities for the upcoming edition.

The ‘Uptown Funk’ hitmaker will play in Delhi, Pune and Bengaluru at the sixth edition of NH7 Weekender; however, he will not make his mark in Shillong, where the music festival is happening for the first time in its six years. All India Bakchod’s (AIB) Rohan Joshi confirmed the new via Twitter post.

He told Radioandmusic.com that the tweet was not a prank; in fact, it is true that the promoters are bringing the 39-year old producer to India.

The upcoming edition of NH7 Weekender will kick off in Shillong from 23 to 24 October, followed by Kolkata from 31 October to 1 November, Delhi on 28 and 29 November, Pune from 4 to 6 December and will culminate in Bangalore on 5 and 6 December. Throughout the day (5 August), NH7 Weekender’s social site will continue buzzing with names of various Indian and International artistes that will be playing at Weekender.

Recently, Ronson’s name was used by an Australian promoter who duped fans saying that he will play a DJ set in Perth on 25 July. Ronson will also play at Bestival 2015 in September this year.
