Man.Goes Human to release debut EP in June, second to follow soon after

MUMBAI: Delhi based alternative/experimental rock band Man.Goes Human will release its first extended play (EP) after almost three years since the band's inception, as revealed by bassist Shitij Gulati. He further added that the reason the band took so long to release a record was because the band members kept changing.

The yet-untitled EP will consist of six to seven songs, and each song will have a different vibe to it; each of a different genre. "Some of them will be indie, while others would be groove or rock. There is going to be a lot of variation in the sound of these tracks, and the sound of the whole album. We plan to release the EP whilst simultaneously performing at various gigs. However, we will have a separate gig, where we will be launching the new record," continued Gulati.

So far, Man.Goes Human has released three songs on its SoundCloud page- ‘Leave Me or Love Me', ‘Ba Ba Black Sheep' and ‘Fading' featuring Shruti Krishnan. "These songs will be featured on the EP, but with better mixing and mastering of the tracks," added Gulati.

Addressing the three year gap between the band's inception and the release of the new record, Gulati said, "There were a lot of changes in the line-up. But, we have about 10-12 tracks with us. And, based on the response of the first record, our second EP will follow soon after."

Shitij also said that the first Man.Goes Human record will be released independently, like some of its contemporaries. "We do plan to release the EP independently, though our manager Teejay has a plan to get us signed under a record label. It is rather complicated actually. The sound of Man.Goes Human is very varied; we do not stick one particular genre. Therefore, depending on their plan to market us, we will see how things work out."

Man.Goes Human is also currently working on a new music video. "It will be a new single, one that is not going to be featured on the new record."

The upcoming EP will be made available for free download on SoundCloud and will be available on iTunes and OK Listen, confirmed Gulati. In addition to Man.Goes Human, Gulati is also a part of an untitled indie-disco project.
