Legacy Recordings to re-release Celtic Thunder old catalogue

MUMBAI: Sony Music Entertainment division Legacy Recordings and Irish singing group Celtic Thunder entered into an agreement for a major catalogue partnership. The first release under the partnership will be ‘The Very Best of Celtic Thunder' containing their seven all time Celtic Thunder tracks updated and re-recorded by the current ensemble. It will be available on 10 March, this year.

The first release is a 20-song collection featuring songs from their previous studio albums namely ‘Celtic Thunder: The Show and Celtic Thunder’ (2008); 'Act Two' (2008); ‘Take Me Home’ (2009); ‘It's Entertainment’ (2010); ‘Storm’ (2011); 'Heritage' (2011); ‘Voyage’ (2012); and ‘Mythology’ (2013).  In the coming months, the company plans to re-issue Celtic Thunder Christmas (2010); Voyage II (2012) and Holiday Symphony (2014). In addition, Celtic Thunder's nine best-selling DVDs will also be released.

It is stated that the group has celebrated Celtic music and heritage over the course of 11 albums and nine concert specials.

The group is heading to North America for its 'The Very Best of Celtic Thunder Tour 2015’ which will continue till April.

The group consist of Damian McGinty, Keith Harkin, Colm Keegan, Ryan Kelly, Neil Byrne, Emmett O'Hanlon, George Donaldson, Paul Byrom and Emmet Cahill.

Since its inception in 2007, the group has achieved a huge fan following. It has sold more than 7 lakh tickets world-wide, and has performed over 800 shows around the world.
