Kings of Leon, Avicii, Lenny Kravitz amongst others to perform at Hard Rock Rising Barcelona

MUMBAI: After the announcement of Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach, the company has revealed that it will host the first-ever Hard Rock Rising Barcelona Music Festival in Spain, as part of its commitment to support music. The festival in Spain will take place on 24-25 July 2015, and will follow Miami Beach which will be on 26 March, 2015.

The first-ever Barcelona festival will be an amalgation of EDM, rock n' roll,  rock, soul, R&B, funk and reggae. Artistes including DJ Avicii, Kings of Leon and Lenny Kravitz, will each cover their respective music genres, giving the festival all the musical flavours.

The main stage support comes from Columbian musician and multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy winning artist- Juanes. He will bring to the stage a blend of heavy metal and Columbian folk music. Former member of the electronic group- Swedish House Mafia, Steve Angello will be playing his set at the festival, while Spanish rock alt band- Vetusta Morla will also put on a performance. The festival will be a showcase 16 hours of live music across two days at Barcelona's beach-front venue.

Headliners for the Hard Rock Rising Miami Beach festival include Andrea Bocelli, Barry Gibb, Gloria Estefan and Flo Rida, while supporting talents include DJ Irie, Dave Mason, Jon Secada, Ky-Mani Marley, Nestor Torres, Nicole Henry and Third World. This is a part of the city's centennial celebration.

In 2006, the first Hard Rock Calling began in London. Over the last eight years, the festival has evolved not just in London but outside as well. Hard Rock International hosted more than 28,000 live music events worldwide in 2014. Hard Rock Rising concert events in the United States and Europe provide a forum for music icons and new talent to connect with music fans around the world.
