Bacardi NH7 Weekender to head to Shillong

MUMBAI: The three day edition of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune wrapped up on Sunday 23 November, on a happy note. Only Much Louder (OML) founder Vijay Nair, at the end of the show, made a surprise announcement.

He said that the festival will add a fifth city to its line-up. In February 2015, the 'happiest music festival' will be taken to Shillong. The dates and line-up is not yet known, but with north east India's history of bringing in the biggest rock and metal bands to the country, it can be expected that the line-up will incline towards the heavy genres of music.

NH7 Weekender's official Facebook page posted, "The happiest music festival is travelling to Shillong this February! See you there, because it's going to be something magical!"

The Pune edition of the festival saw an extensive line-up with both small and big acts, local and international. With more than 8000 people, alone for Amit Trivedi's show, the festival in terms of attendance was a massive success. Nair brought together all OML's loyal artistes, who have stayed with the organisers since its inception. There were headliners like Fear Factory and The Vaccines, major acts including Raghu Dixit Project, Indian Ocean, Skyharbor, Dinosaur Pile-Up, Goldspot, Bhayanak Maut, Bartender and many more. 'Scenesters' resorted to dancing, jumping, grooving, chanting, head-banging, moshing in the pit and everything else that is expected at a crazy music festival.

OML did it once again with triumphantly organising the biggest music festival in the country, which will now be held in five cities, conquering almost every region of the country.

The next stop for this year's Weekender will be Delhi which will be held on 29-30 November.
