All India Bakchod spoofs 'Party All Night' by Yo Yo Honey Singh

MUMBAI: After ridiculing a number of celebrities and themselves, the funny men from All India Bakchod (AIB) have dared to take on one of Bollywood’s most beloved offerings- party songs. The comedians released a spoof video of 2014’s party anthem- ‘Party All Night’, by Yo Yo Honey Singh from the film ‘Boss’. And AIB has roped in ‘Paan Singh Tomar’ actor Irrfan Khan to feature in the music video, which has vocals rendered by the members of the group.

The video starts with the AIB members sitting around with the actor, where the comedy group praises Khan for his acting skills. That is until one of them points out that Khan has never done a “party song”, which irritates the actor and he starts singing ‘Party All Night’.

“We wanted to do this kind of a spoof for quite a long time, and we had even teamed up with Karunesh Talwar, who is also a great comedian. All of us contributed to the lyrics of the track,” revealed Rohan Joshi, a member of AIB. The members of the group wanted to highlight exactly what happens in every party number, and yet the same old thing becomes a cult hit in Bollywood.

After completing the lyrics, AIB wanted to approach an actor who has never been featured in a party number, which would bring an element of irony to the video. Khan was more than happy to be featured in such a video, and was very involved while the song was being made, Joshi revealed. “Irrfan Khan even contributed to a couple of lines, which according to him were not strong enough. The best part about him was during the days of the shoot he was completely dedicated and had no airs about his stature. He is someone who has a very active Hollywood career going on, despite that he was down to earth and friendly,” he added. It took two days to shoot the video, and almost a month to edit it.

The group, which not too long ago was scrutinised for its ‘Comedy Roast’ stint, did not worry about the reactions they would get from Yo Yo Honey Singh fans. “Being a rapper, Yo Yo must also have that kind of sense of humour. And really speaking, no reactions from the people bother us. I do not see any extra abuses coming to us from this video,” he laughingly added.
