9X Jhakaas celebrates three years with self-produced music video

MUMBAI: 9X Jhakaas, India's first Marathi music channel has completed three years and to celebrate it, the channel has created and produced a music video for the first time. The video features Marathi music veterans and popular Marathi actors, and will go live on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter on Friday, 31 October.

The song is composed and sung by famous Bollywood playback singer Vaishali Samant. Along with Samant, the track also features vocals by Marathi music pro Avdooth Gupte, Jasraj Joshi, Priyanka Bave and Kirti Killedar. Bringing the song to life on screen are up and coming Marathi film and television actors Manasi Naik, Pooja Sawant, Neha Joshi and Adinath Kothare.

Speaking on the development of the music video, 9X Jhakass Vice President Rohan Rane said, "The project has been in development for a month and we decided that the best way to celebrate having completed three years, was through a music video. And Vaishali and Avdoot are the best people right now in the Marathi music industry to work with." The music video has been marketed on air and through digital media with no on ground marketing activation.

Rane also said that the video features the singers as a part of a band performing in a college canteen along with actors performing alongside. The music video will be on-air for 20-25 days. The teasers and videos with behind-the-scenes footage started airing on the channel two weeks ago.
