People tend to express themselves through their eyes: Paintist Vijender Sharma on song 'NAINA'

MUMBAI: Recently released track- ‘NAINA’ by Songdew and MG Motor India has captivated the attention of  a hoard of audience as the track has infused some uniqueness to it. The meaning of the song has been beautifully derived by artist Vijender Sharma who painted his heart out in accordance with what the message of the song means.

Vijender Sharma contribution with work dates back to wonderful paintings for TV Serials – B.R. Chopra’s ‘Mahabharata’. Ramanand Sagar’s ‘Ramayana’ & ‘Vikram aur Vaital’. He has commissioned two portraits of Hon'ble President of India A.P.J.Abdul Kalam to display at Rashtrapati Bhawan. One portrait of Loksabha Speaker Mr. P.A. Sangama for Parliament House. Punjab & SAARC Art Competition & many others. Commissioned  portraits  of  Hon'able  President  of  India  Pranav Mukherjee for President House. Had been a judge at AIFACS he is also a Guinness Book Record holder with the  Longest Painting, Meerut Group. India.

In an exclusive interview with Radioandmusic, Mr. Vijender expresses passion for art and gives a little gist into how he delved onto painting. “My mentors have been my school teachers who have been my inspiration plus my passion for the subject has taken me this far. During my school days only I had an inclination towards art and started expressing myself through it.”

With respect to the song NAINA, Vijender Sharma whose beautifully painted a narrative about the song tells us about his experience about infusing music and art together. “Lyrics of the track are beautiful and NAINA is an emotionally expressive song. One tends to express their emotions with their eyes, NAINA is exactly that song,” added Sharma.
