Dev Raiyani's 'Wait4me' was inspired from his personal life

MUMBAI: GenZ digital content creator and independent Indian Hip Hop artist Dev Raiyani released his latest single “Wait4me” which was inspired from his personal life. He enjoys writing his ideas and expressing his feelings to his songs.

Excited about the release, “It was a lot of fun to make the music video. I was just wandering around Los Angeles with a friend and thought ‘What if I come across something cool. Why don't I just have one of my friends record me lip-syncing my song?’”. The whole process of the music video took approximately two months. During his travels, he went to many locations in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. All his songs brought back some wonderful memories. This specific release is a joyful tune, which is unusual for him because most of his tracks are sad. “It's the first time I've spoken about some feelings I've had in my life through my music”, he adds.

“Wait4me” is thriving on streaming platforms, “I'm really overwhelmed. I wasn't anticipating anything like this, to be honest. Because there are so many eyes on me, my anxiousness starts acting up, but I'll accept it and move forward. It is part of life. Overall, I'm grateful”.

Dev has always been passionate about music, so one Sunday he had the strange notion, "Oh, it'll be wonderful to have a song of my own out everywhere," so he stayed up all night writing his very first song, "Cool Boy." He became fascinated by the method, rather than the content, and have continued to compose music ever since.

Dev looks up to Joji, it is his dream to collaborate with him. “Working alongside him would be the most thrilling experience. He's inspired me and supported me through so much”.
