Divya Agarwal is grateful to Suyyash Rai and Darshan Raval for believing in her for 'Fitrat'

MUMBAI: Indian television actress, model, and dancer Divya Agarwal, best known for her stint in Splitsvilla is back with her first project after her father Sanjay Agarwal’s demise. She is seen in Suyyash Rai’s latest music video “Fitrat”, the song was dedicated to the actress by Suyyash and Darshan Raval because of all the storm she went through and was released on her birthday on 4th December.

Winner of MTV Ace of Space season 1 said shooting for ‘Fitrat’ was a very difficult one because of the lockdown and less crew members. They wanted to do this song based on travel so they travelled from Mumbai to Chandigarh and took stops at Rajasthan and Gujarat. They were on repeat of shooting and driving around. “It was an amazing journey because when we were travelling, we were also thinking about how we could do it even better and we got a lot of time to shoot. We did the shoot peacefully and we were also quite surprised by the way it came out”.

Further she shared, “When the first cut came out, I showed to my Dad, before he passed away. I’m pretty excited and a lot of emotions are attached to it. You see a good travel video with lots of scenic clips, and some graceful moments are captured in the Palace of Jaipur.

“It is very special for me”. During the entire shoot, Agarwal’s dad was always on the call with her and would ask her “How and where she was going and what was happening”. He was quite concerned but then after he saw the first cut, he was quite impressed with her work. “I can never forget the fact that he called me ‘beautiful’, I was very happy, he was quite excited for this song but unfortunately, he couldn’t make it to the release. But I’m sure that wherever he is, he’s watching over me and my work.”

“My birthday wasn’t so special until now, this year I’m celebrating it because I know one thing is that my dad was the happiest person when I was born and I’m just gonna celebrate his happiness. It’s not for me, it’s more of celebrating his and my mother’s happiness, of their first child”. She is grateful to Suyyash and Darshan for believing in her and cooperated with everything that was happening, and gifting it on her birthday to make it even special “They knew that I would’ve been sad because my dad would not be present so they wanted to make sure that something like this comes up”. When one is working on birthdays it’s obviously amazing because it’s like a new year for you, as an individual.

Actor and former MTV Roadies contestant Varun Sood and Agarwal confirmed they're in a relationship during an interview with SpotboyE, when asked if they are keen to shoot together for a music video Agarwal expressed that they would love to do that but right now they both want to grow as individual artists. “No matter how well we look together we obviously need to grow in this industry and we need to try out our chemistry with actresses and actors and vice versa”. And once they come out of something like that, after a couple of videos with others, maybe they will come out with something of their own and when that comes out, the level of excitement will be very new and very fresh. So, they only want to sign up for opportunities which are very worthy of getting them together on screen, “otherwise offscreen we are always together and we know that fans love us together so we’re always gonna deliver that”.

There’s another music video coming out with Rajit Dev, who has also choreographed for a lot of Bollywood numbers, the song is sung by Vishal Dadlani. Signing off, “It is gonna be a total party number and dance number, it’s gonna be amazingly different”.

The actress is known for her participation in several MTV India reality competition shows, MTV Splitsvilla season 10 and MTV Ace of Space season 1. She made her acting debut in season 2 of the horror web series “Ragini MMS: Returns” and has appeared on numerous music videos. She has hosted or supported on further reality shows including Roadies: Real Heroes and MTV Ace the Quarantine.
