MUMBAI: Multi-platinum rapper, DIVINE is gearing up for the release of his 3rd track titled ‘Mera Bhai’ from his highly anticipated second studio album, ‘Punya Paap’ Paying tribute to the importance ofloyalty and belief in self in a world adorned by egotism, the track serves as an autobiographical rendition of DIVINE’s journey over the last 2 decades.

With the rapper’s life story providing the focal incentive to the track, the video traces the fictional story of two brothers who forsake their kinship as they are lured into the materialistic world of egotistical motives, ultimately entailing a remorseful demise of their fraternal pact. Weaving an impassioned narrative of trials, tribulations, betrayal and deceit, the track sees DIVINE return to his storytelling best while the listener gets an insight on the on the fleeting nature of conditional sentiments. Produced by Karan Kanchan and by Debjyoti Saha, the crisply animated film captures from the streets to the skyline towers oozing the big city feel.

DIVINE states, “Working on ‘Mera Bhai’ has been an extremely rewarding experience, from creating the track to watch Debjyoti breathe life into the music and taking it a notch higher with his emotive film. This is the story of how a beautiful relationship of love and unity can unexpectedly translate into a noxious connection of deceit, envy and heartbreak. When a certain sense of accomplishment prevails, most equations lose their authenticity and fall apart and that’s a lesson I’ve learnt from my own experience.”
