Sara Evans will kick off her Born To Fly memoir release week with national TV appearances and a virtual book tour

MUMBAI: award-winning singer Sara Evans is gearing up for the September 8 release of her highly anticipated memoir, Born To Fly, from Howard Books, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Named after her landmark double-platinum album, which celebrated its 20th anniversary this year, Born To Fly finds Evans opening up for the first time and sharing stories not only about her career and what it is like living in the spotlight, but about what inspires her and how her faith keeps her strong.

Sara is set to appear and talk about the book on Good Morning America on September 8th, followed by a stop at ABC’s GMA3 on September 9th, with additional media appearances planned for the coming weeks.

She will also be kicking off a virtual book tour on September 2nd – the tour will include stops at Premiere Live (9/2), St. Louis’ Left Bank Books (9/8), Nashville’s Parnassus Books (9/9), Birmingham’s Books-A-Million (9/10) and Kansas City’s Rainy Day Books (9/11).   At each virtual visit, Sara will discuss the memoir with a local host and take questions from fans. The first 100 fans to purchase the book at the bookstore events will receive a signed book from Sara.

The book is available for pre-order now at https://bit.ly/2Us893O.

Physical copies of Sara’s latest album, Copy That, will now be available for purchase at Target stores across the country, as well as online through Target and Amazon, beginning this Friday, September 4.  She will also be partnering with the fan engagement mobile app, Sweet for the release of Born To Fly and Copy That. Sweet will offer exclusive content to fans - including an in-app “Sugar Rush” party on September 17 at 9pm ET - all while earning rewards and exclusive prizes through their engagement with the app.

Copy That, Evans’ first solo studio album in three years, was released on May 15, 2020 and has been heralded as “perfection” (People) and a “summer favorite” (Parade). Co-produced by Sara and Jarrad K (Ruston Kelly, Weezer, Goo Goo Dolls), and released on her own Born To Fly Records, the 13-song collection spans six decades and features collaborations with Old Crow Medicine Show and Little Big Town’s Phillip Sweet. Copy That pays tribute to her early days in the Evans Family Band singing hours long cover song sets and showcases Evans’ creative take on some of the most iconic songs in country and pop music, songs that have inspired her life and career, as well as shining a spotlight on some little-known gems.
