Aadhe Aadhe Se' song from Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer 'Raat Akeli Hai' is out now

MUMBAI: Known for her recent hit Ghungroo. Singer Shilpa Rao sings a low tempo classical song for Netflix latest film 'Raat Akeli Hai'. Composed by Sneha Khalwankar, sung by Shilpa Rao and Mika Singh 'Aadhe Aadhe Se' perfectly fits this crime thriller with an ensemble cast featuring Radhika Apte and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Talking about her experience working on the song, singer Shilpa Rao comments, " It is a funny story. Wherein, me and the composer Sneha never got along well. Eventually, Anurag Kashyap made us sit together and insisted we work together on the song. That's how we met and decided to work on this song. I really enjoyed working with her, not just working with her but the whole persona of her and hope it was likewise for her. Honestly, it was a great experience working on this song as it's not the easy song to sing. It is a very complex kind of song and to sing those words perfectly. Rajshekhar has beautifully written the lyrics. To say, I've sung so many words in this song which I have actually never sung in any song "

She further adds, " This song is about growth and how we all are 'work in progress' as a human being, as a lover, as a musician, as an artist and that I think was something me and Sneha resonated well with working on this song.. To major girl power and this song to me symbolises the word 'Acceptance' and accepting each other as people."
