Sabrina Sapal's debut Sufi number depicts different shades of society fighting for love!

MUMBAI: Amidst the generation that is struck with hip hop, rap, EDM and party numbers, there is this youngster, Sabrina Sapal, who is debuted a singer with a Sufi song. Titled Shauq Marran Da, Sabina’s debut music video that released today on Times Music, depicts different shades of the society fighting for love.

The singer, who hails from San-Diego, California, speaks about her debut song. She shares, “It is a song that expresses to the audience hardships the character experiences with society and the love for God. Everyone, who listens to the song, will have their own interpretation, which makes it so special. It is up to the audience how they relate to the song personally.”

Penned by renowned Punjabi poet Shirin Anandita and Munir Niazi, the music of Shauq Marran Da is composed by De De Pyaar De fame Vipin Patwa.

On being asked, how this opportunity landed in her kitty, Sapal, reveals, “I had met the music composer of Shauq Marran Da, Vipin Patwa, who had this composition with him. He thought that it would suit my texture of voice. When I heard it, I immediately fell in love with the composition and lyrics. I went into the studio to record it and the rest is history. Everything fell in place.”

Further, on her association with Times Music label, the newbie singer exclaims, “Yes, this is my first association with Times Music and I must say it has been a very pleasant and professional experience. Everything was done in a timely manner. Times Music is a very well respected label and I am ecstatic to be associated with them.”

Lastly, spilling beans about her upcoming projects, Sabrina concludes, “My next single has a middle-eastern touch to it. I also have a few Punjabi peppy tracks coming up.”
