MUMBAI: A music legend, who ruled the 90s era, Alka Yagnik who has crooned hits like Tip Tip Barsa Paani, Maiyya Yashoda Alka Yagnik will be judging Superstar Singer along with Himesh Reshammiya and Javed Ali. 

On being asked, what are the qualities she is looking for in the contestants, Alka said, “I am looking out for a lot of potential, good presentation and I guess a complete package, but most importantly ‘a good singing capacity’.”

She is all set to give some motivational mantras to the kids, “Sing your heart out and sing your best and leave the rest.” 

The singer explained that the concept of the show is different, “The format of the show is a little different and there are three layers. There are captains who would be grooming these kids. Above captains, there are the judges. Also, how well these contestants sing would depend on the captains as they will be equally responsible," added Yagnik.
