Daler Mehndi encourages students to plant more trees

MUMBAI: On World Environment Day the world came together to save our ‘mother earth’ and beat our #airpollution. With seven million people dying each day because of air pollution, it’s a dire need to take action. And celebrities like Daler Mehndi are no way behind.

The Bolo Ta Ra Ra Ra singer took to social media to share a message on the initiative, he’s taken.

His tweet read, “After my appeal to the people of Himmatnagar, today the students of Social Service Group College from http://H.N.S.B.Science  College, Plant 50 trees in college.

Thank you so much for taking quick action #GreenWithDaler #DalerMehndiGreenDrive #DalerMehndiGreenWorrior #SurkshaSetu.”

Earlier singers like Javed Ali, Harshdeep Kaur, Sunidhi Chauhan had come together for Hawa Badlo anthem which again embarked on a pollution free environment.

It’s great to see singers taking an initiative to stand up for the betterment of the society and bringing the nation together for a cause!
