Singers respond to Sri Lanka blasts

MUMBAI: It was indeed a sad Easter for Sri Lanka as the country faced explosions. These were noted on Sunday at Colombo and Batticaloa. According to reports, more than 290 people died and 500 were wounded.
 
This Sri Lankan blasts have shocked the world. Many took to social media to express their grief and this included Indian singers Lata Mangeshkar, Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi, Sukshinder Shinda among others. 
 
Lata Mangeshkar- "I am deeply saddened to see the appalling attack in Sri Lanka. My heart goes out to the people there and I share their grief. Praying for peace to prevail."
 
Mika Singh- “Heartbreaking news from #SriLanka today..We stand in solidarity with all those affected at this difficult time of grief. May God give strength to the families who have lost their dear ones. My thoughts and prayers with them.”
 
Daler Mehndi- "Heartbreaking news coming from #SriLanka.  We stand in solidarity with Sri Lankans at this hour of grief. May God give strength to the families who lost their dear ones. My thoughts and prayers with them."
