Kalank: 'Tabbah Ho Gaye' - a treat for Madhuri fans

MUMBAI: Every movie starring diva Madhuri Dixit is incomplete without an elaborate song and dance sequence! Dharma Productions has just released Tabbah Ho Gaye from the much anticipated multi-starrer Kalank, which is quite a treat for Madhuri fans.

The song features Madhuri Dixit in an out and out in a desi avatar dancing to an indigenous tune composed by Pritam. The song speaks about getting destroyed in unrequited love. Dixit is playing the role of Bahaar Begum, a character that the lead actress describes as enchanting and mysterious.  The look of the character and the song gives an impression that role of Bahaar Begum is that of a courtesan and the rumour is rife that the movie is set against the backdrop of Hira Mandi, a locale in British India known as the bastion of art and culture.

The song Tabbah Ho Gaye is sung by Shreya Ghoshal, who has also co-sung the earlier track Ghar More Pardesiya with Vaishali Made. The dance steps by Madhuri Dixit suit the intricate Indian tune while her scintillating performance adds to the glitz quotient.

From the sets to the attire, expressions and choreography, a striking resemblance to Maar Dala from Devdas can’t be denied.  This is the fourth track released by the makers after Ghar More Pardesiya, First Class and the title track released last week. The multi-starrer movie is all set to release on 17 April 2019.
