Awestrung Reloaded: Manasi Scott, Priya Saraiya and others gear to perform at Hungama Artist Aloud event

MUMBAI:  Hungama Artist Aloud’s Awestrung Reloaded is all set to put forth a mesmerising musical display, today at 2pm, at High Street Phoenix in Mumbai. Comprising of a humongous artists line-up, the Marathon concert has much more in the store. Manasi Scott, Priya Saraiya, Parleen Gill and Dj Smokey speak about their performance in an exclusive interview with Radioandmusic.
 
Manasi Scott
 
 
I will be performing one of my original songs called Constellations. In addition to lending my voice, I have also composed and written the song. Ever since it’s live launch for Nexa lifestyle, the song has grabbed people’s attention. Everybody is loving and appreciating it and we are excited to release the song officially.
 
Constellation is a part of a brand new project with DJ SKIP. He is an amazingly talented musician. Unfortunately, due to pre-scheduled engagements, he’ll not be present to add his signature turntablism to the performance.
 
Priya Saraiya
 
 
I will be performing an original Ghazal composed and sung by me. It's a very soulful song about a girl who is preparing herself to move on after separating from the love of her life. She has found solace in the love of her beloved and chooses to move on with the elixir of his love rather than stay and lament over could-have-beens. Titled, Chahiye Nahi is written by me and some of the lyrics go this way - Loot le jaaye, yeh baarish koi Ik bheege dil siva, aur kuchh chahiye nahin...Tanha tere bin reh gayi to kya...Tere ishq ne chhua, aur kuchh chahiye nahin...
 
Chahiye Nahi is very close to my heart. I had written the lyrics and composed it a few years back. For my performance at Awestrung Reloaded, I've tried to do a fusion ghazal without losing its authenticity. 
 
DJ Smokey
 
 
I am really excited about my performance at Awestrung Reloaded. It is going to be unique and experimental. It is going to be an Ableton live set and I have planned something really special for my performance. I will be stripping down my original productions into individual stems and triggering them live. The possibilities are endless and I hope the audience will love my performance and enjoy the concert to the fullest. 
 
My set is an electronic set and it will be completely different from the rest of the performances.

I am super excited to be a part of Awestrung Reloaded. I believe it is a great initiative by Hungama Artist Aloud. Every artiste craves for two things - stage and appreciation. Hungama Artist Aloud brings both of these things together in Awestrung Reloaded. It will be for the first time that 50 independent artistes will perform on a single stage. I am looking forward to the energy and excitement at the concert.
 
The only highlight of my performance will be the audience. I will ensure that they sing along with me and have the best musical day of their lives.
