Vh1 Supersonic 2019 witnessed mind-boggling performances, with Live Arena being the center of attraction

MUMBAI: If you had packed your bags, with a belief that you will receive the best musical experience at Vh1 Supersonic 2019 then you were at the right place. We at Radioandmusic had a good experience and are truly delighted to share our experiences.

#BeThereBeFree, the tagline stayed true to its motive of getting all the music lovers under one roof. A different vibe struck us when we entered Mahalaxmi Lawns (Pune) on 16 February 2019, an altogether different feeling where hoards of people came from different parts of the world to enjoy the festivities. With artists like Bonobo, Marshmello, who put forth a fabulous performance, Super Flea and Food market, became a huge hit as well. A widespread extravaganza, the music festival was lit with four stages. The main stage had a design of space station with props designed in that theme as well with stage lights being pretty decent.

The first day of the festival marked Jaden Smith’s debut performance in India. A jam-packed crowd was a sight to witness during his performance. His entry with the Indian flag was a moment that will be etched in the hearts of every single person present at the festival. Rudimental DJ, known for taking London’s underground music scene by storm, set the stage ablaze with his bleeding edge beats.

Well if you were super tired of exploring the venue and dancing on some cool beats put forth by the artists, the festival included some lavish delicacies by renowned restaurants. A huge rush was been witnessed at stalls that flaunted mouth-watering food dishes like chicken tikka, Shawarma, rolls/wraps and of course alcohol. Students of Symbiosis College showcased beautiful art across the festival that added to its ambience. The festival also believed in pampering its patrons, hence, there were some de-stress corners, super flea market, Beer Garden and the gaming pit that took all on a trip of relaxation and leisure.

The audience was extremely happy about Marshmello performing once again in India and so were we, but we were quite turned off when the famous American music producer played a few Bollywood songs. We love you Marshmello, be the way you are and truly Bollywood songs should not be necessarily important for an international DJ just because you are performing for the Indian crowd. Focusing on the performance, no doubt Marshmello pulled the crowd’s attention, while his act did observe two minutes of silence for the 49 CPRF troopers who were killed in Pulwama terror attack.

Live Arena was absolutely lit and observed mind-blowing performances by Two Door Cinema Club, Broken Brass who made their debut at Vh1 Supersonic, Band Skrat, TroyBoi, Peter Cat Recording etc. The electronic stage saw performances by artists like Tuhin Mehta, Ash Roy, Arjun Vagale who came on popular demand, BLOT, Browncoat, Kohra, Candice Redding, DJ SA, Sanddunes, Lost Stories and Zaeden whose Bollywood music geared up energy levels.

The live arena had a massive crowd as compared to 2018. We were happy to see that the hygiene levels were been taken care of w.r.t washrooms and the ground too was clean.

Vh1 Supersonic is known to deliver the best of experiences and its 2019 edition proves it all! Not just because of its high tempo, but because of its wide range of fun-filled activities and experiences.

The festival was a spectacular three-day musical paradise and had two times crowd as compared to 2018. The festival did leave us with a hoard of memories, what about you? Let us know in the comments section below.
