'Apna Time Ayega' comes at the right time

MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh’s Gully Boy is one of the most anticipated films of 2019. The movie is based on underground scene of Rapping in India and loosely based on Divine and Naezy; therefore, music is a pivotal part of the script. The first song released Apna Time Ayega has become an anthem for the youngsters and the reasons are many.

The song is sung by the lead star Ranveer Singh and the lyrics are penned by Divine and Ankur Tewari. This combination makes the song hear-able. While there are colloquial words like Ghanta there are words like Rehmat too woven beautifully in the songs. The reason that makes the song visually appealing is Ranveer Singh. His energy in his voice and performance is infectious.  He presents a vibe like a pro-rapper. He justifies his statement in a recent interview that if any other actor would have featured in the movie he would have been burnt. When you see the video, you understand why he is right in saying what he said.

Apna Time Aayega’s hook line - Nanga hi toh aya tha ghanta leke jayega is taken from Divine’s single, Teesri Manzil released in 2018. The song is composed by Dub Sharma & DIVINE.  The song is available for streaming on all major platforms like JioSaavn, Wynk, Itunes, Gaana, GooglePlay. The song is presented by Zee Music and is already a favourite among the youngsters. The film Gully Boy, directed by Zoya Akhtar, starring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhat and Kalki is all set to release on 14 February 2019.
