Kaur sisters collaborate for a wedding mashup

MUMBAI: Singers Asees Kaur, Deedar Kaur and Prabhjee Kaur have come together for the first time with a special wedding song, which has released on Zee Music Company. The track, which is a mash-up of popular wedding tracks like Madhaniya, Chidiya Da Chamba, Laung Gawacha and Mehendi, is sung by Asees Kaur and Deedar Kaur and the music video is directed by Prabhjee Kaur, who recently sang Stupid Saiyaan from Why Cheat India.

“It was a fun and novel experience,” says Asees Kaur, who is known to belt out chartbusters like Chogada, Tere Bin, Ankh Lad Jaave, Bolna and others. She further adds, “We were planning this for some time now and it’s a project we are very passionate about. The track is very energetic and peppy and I hope the listeners enjoy it. It was Deedar's idea to come up with this collaboration. She is the mastermind behind it and we just loved the idea and came on board."

Prabhjee Kaur, who directed the track, saidshe had a great time working with her sisters. “I have directed music videos before but working with family is fun and exciting. This is first of many tracks people will hear from the Kaur sisters,” she exclaims.

Deedar Kaur also contributes, "My dearest and much awaited wedding mashup by me and my sister Asees Kaur is live now. I was planning to collaborate with her since long. I always wanted to come with her with some dhamaka, so I thought, ‘kisi ki bhi life mein wedding se bada dhamaka kya hoga ?’ Therefore got this fun filled, extra energetic, power packed mashup of some hit Punjabi wedding folk songs. Make your celebrations special with this one."

Asees is a known name in the playback and music fraternity. While Prabhjee just entered the playback world with her song Stupid Saiyaan for Emraan Hashmi starrer Why Cheat India. All the siblings are trained in classical music under Ustad Pooran Shah Kotiji and are looking forward for a successful career in playback singing and independent music too.
