Guru Kiran Hegde from Anusha Mani's team declared winner of 'Love Me India'

MUMBAI: The grand finale of India’s first live kids music reality show was held yesterday, where Guru Kiran Hegde was declared as the winner.

Belonging to Anusha Mani’s team (South Zone), Guru Kiran Hegde was considered as a tough competitor by other finalist like Mohammed Faiz and Anurag Verma, who also competed with an equal valour. While Faiz belonged to Abhijeet Sawant’s West Zone team, Anurag Verma competed from Navraj Hans’ North Zone. The other two finalists were Stuti Agarwal and Harshita Bhattacharya from Bhoomi Trivedi’s team (East Zone).

While, all contestants brought forth their best in singing, it was Guru, who marched victorious to claim the trophy. He earned scored 192 heartbeats for his performance on Dil Ki Tapish Ka Aftaab, which brought judges on stage to applaud him. He is trained in classical singing and was known for his fabulous consistent singing among other kids.

The finale was graced by Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam, who had come to promote their upcoming movie, Uri. Yami also crowned Harshita as the Princess of Love Me India for her fabulous performance on Ikk Kudi for which she scores 182 heartbeats. Her teammate Stuti earned 179 heartbeats for her fabulous performance on Taare Hai Baarati. Anurag Verma Mohammed Faiz’s performance was the decider as the singer crooned Dastaan E Om Shanti Om, but had to settle with 188 heartbeats, making Guru Kiran Hegde the ultimate winner.

Besides, the show also had some funny banter between Neha Bhasin and anchor Meiyang Chang, who made a grand entry on the show. Guru, Navraj and Abhijeet also tried to impress Yami by act of balancing pot on their respective heads.
