Picture Pandey takes us through the happenings in movie industry in 2018

MUMBAI: As the year 2018 approaches an end, a look back to all the good and bad is obvious. Film-lovers will look back to some glorious hits and some not so good films. However, the year was dominated by content driven movies. Apart from movies, the Indian film industry saw many interesting events like weddings of three top actresses- Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra while the downer has been losing a shinning star like Sridevi. A recap or year ender 2018, Fever 104 FM’s show Picture Pandey, Director's Cut, will meet the top 20 directors of this year to talk about films, favorites and a lot more with Fever FM RJ Anuraag Pandey.

R. Balki rightly quotes, “2018 will always be about Srijee”. We also saw more and more female oriented films releasing, but the icing on the cake has been female directors like Nandita Das and Meghna Gulzar proving their mantel with flawless films like Manto and Raazi respectively.

One must not forget the true success that web series achieved this year. The participation of mainstream actors like Saif Ali Khan and Rishi Kapoor only proves that web series are here to stay. While we missed Hrithik Roshan in action, we saw Ishaan Khattar, Dulqeer Salman and Aayush Sharma emerge as promising stars. The paparazzi culture only boomed with Jhanvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan becoming social media divas even before their films hit the theaters and Taimur Ali Khan becoming the youngest star even before deciding to join the industry. This year has truly been a roller coaster ride that demands to be reminisced and revisited.

From veterans like R. Balki and Anand L Rai, to the young brigade such as Shashank Khaitan and Abhiraaj Minawala, to visionaries like Nandita Das and Shoojit Sircar, catch them all discussing everything that this year stood for and will continue to impact generations to come.

Catch the all new Picture Pandey show’s year end project – Director’s Cut only on Fever 104 FM, every weekday 11 am onwards.
