MUMBAI: Singer Shilpa Surroch, who is a rising playback singer, is currently on cloud nine for getting an opportunity to sing a duet with none other than her The Voice mentor Shaan.

Well, if reports are to be believed, Shilpa, who has crooned for many ad campaigns earlier, bagged another ad in the form of LG for which she has crooned a duet with Shaan.

Excited Shilpa couldn’t contain her happiness as she exclaimed, “It was my dream to once meet Shaan sir; I grew up listening to him and sang his songs that always brought a smile on everyone’s face. When I was hired to sing for the LG ad, I had no idea that I would be singing a duet with Shaan sir, neither did sir know about it. After rehearsing the song for few times, Shaan sir complimented me by saying ‘Great job, now we are singing a duet!’ it meant a lot to me. I was spell bounded by the amount energy sir has and I was inspired to give my best!”

Meanwhile, it was the singing reality show, The Voice that turned out to be the first doorway for Shilpa to meet her idol Shaan, whose songs, she has grown up listening to as well as singing at various competitions in school. And the LG ad was indeed another instant, where Surroch got to live her dream as she crooned with the iconic singer, whose melodies are loved by generations.
