Get Down is composed as well as written by Juggy D, Rishi Risch, IKKA and Kiranee. Sung by Juggy D, Rishi Rich and IKKA, its music is produced by Rishi Rich.

When asked about his experience of working on the song, the Behen Hogi Ter singer exclaimed, “It was great. We had used this genre in 2003 when we had used R&B, hip-hop beat with Punjabi. We were the ones, who created this many years ago. And to come back and doing it all over again is a great responsibility.”

Juggy D and Rishi Rich are the pioneers of desi hip-hop, who introduced the Punjabi desi version of this genre to the world.

On his association with Universal Music and VYRL Originals, the international desi music legend exclaimed, “I have an old relationship with them as I have known Universal Music Group and EMI Music India and South Asia CEO Devraj Sanyal for many years as he is my old friend. We always wanted to do something together about which we had talked last year, but we were just waiting for the right time. And this time everything fell into the right place. Both the timing as well as the platform was right.”

“I really loved my video made by them. They have spent a lot of money on both video and its PR campaign. One year down, VYRL Originals is doing so well and has released some big music videos,” Juggy D further added.

On the response Get Down has received, Juggy D said, “I came a day prior to the release of the song and I am happy the way everything has been planned out. Also, the feedback is so positive a there hasn’t been any negative comment about the song.”

Get Down has garnered over seven million views on YouTube and was in the top 20 songs in India post its release, with only two independent songs being in the list.

On his future projects, the legend of desi rap and hip-hop revealed, “Yes, I m working a lot of numbers, but until they are confirmed and the deal is worked out, I don’t want to talk about them.”

“There are a lot of collaborations in the pipeline with Indian artists also. But, the one that people are eagerly waiting for is with Jay Sean, which is going to happen soon. I am already working on a song and really excited about it,” the Mubarakan singer further told about collaborations with Indian musicians.

Lastly, Juggy D declared that they have returned to the Indian desi hip-hop scene to stay as he said, “No more long breaks as we are not going anywhere, but will be releasing back-to-back songs and I hope people enjoy our songs, the way they enjoyed few years ago.”

Get Down, produced by s, has struck the right chord with the audience for its funky blend of international and desi vocals and a kick-ass rap.
