Shankar Mahadevan and Sonu Nigam say 'Hey Bappa Morya' in Ganpati Special song

MUMBAI: With the arrival of Ganpati Bappa, the nation is immersed in the festive fervour. And to celebrate him, Bollywood singers Shankar Mahadevan and Sonu Nigam have crooned Hey Bappa Morya for Times Music Spiritual YouTube channel.

Lyricist Prashant Ingole, who has penned the song said, “Hey Bappa Morya, sung by Shankar Mahadevan and Sonu Nigam is a power house, celebration song. It is composed b y Shreyas Puranik, who has also scored for its Hindi version.”

Both Shankar and Sonu Nigam have delivered an energetic number in the form of this song. It indeed is a perfect refresher, this year, for every Ganesh Pandal. The use of dhols, blends with the background score, giving the feel of what a Ganpati celebration is.

Also, going by Ingole’s words, Hey Bappa Morya, indeed, has a complete setup of a Ganesh Pandal, with deities singing and dancing, while dressed in traditional Maharashtrian attire.

The Marathi version of Hey Bappa Morya is sung by Adarsh Shinde, while Santosh Juvekar has featured in both the versions of the song. Both versions have a same video, having mesmerising visuals that will make you get up and groove.

Meanwhile, Times Music has released another song, Ganraj Tu, on the occasion of Ganesh festival. Also written by Prashant Ingole, the song is sung by Sunidhi Chauhan.
