Shashaa Tirupati's recreation of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan song impresses Vishal Dadlani

MUMBAI: Indo-Canadian singer Shashaa Tirupati recently released the recreated version of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s popular song, Tere Bin Nai Lagda. The national award winner’s unique tribute to the world-renowned legend left Bollywood music composer and singer Vishal Dadlani awestruck.

“It’s very motivating to see Vishal Dadlani posting it as well as sharing it on his profile, yesterday. He has liked the vocal arrangement of the song,” she exclaimed.

When asked about Tere Bin Nai Lagda, Shashaa said, “It’s a classic Nusrat saab song, where I have mixed a couple of lines (hook) of another song, Sanu Ek Pal Chain Na Aawe, because I saw that it was blending well. I have not only sung but also done the music arrangement (production) of the song.”

“I wanted to do this one because I am a huge fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, growing up in Canada. I have listened to all of his songs and want to do more versions of re-interpretations of classics and rekindle them,” Shashaa revealed.

Lastly, Shashaa Tirupati reveals another reason behind recreating Nusrat saab’s iconic song. She said, “I wanted to show the producer side of myself through this song. I use to produce back in the day when I had taken a temporary hiatus in singing and I had stopped singing for three years. And this where I got into composition and music production. So, I wanted to get that side of a musician in me out there. “

Meanwhile, the multi-talented singer recently crooned Mono Beena, along with Monali Thakur, for the Akshay Kumar starrer Gold.
