Amit Mishra wants to promote band culture with his independent single

MUMBAI: Bollywood playback singer and performer Amit Mishra is preparing for something big. This time, it is neither a Bollywood project nor a live show, but his own independent single. 

Titled Vacation, the song will be releasing under the name of Amit Mishra Project within 2 weeks. “With this project, I got a chance to feature some great musicians from the fraternity. I am featuring along with Rahul Hariharan(drummer), Nishith Hedge (guitarist) and Ashwin Shriyan (bassist). The single is shot in Board of Spain, East Coast and West Indies,” says the Bulleya singer.

While the first song will of rock and roll genre, the singer further reveals about his future plans with independent music. “Currently our focus is releasing singles. If we get some great response then definitely we will go ahead with albums. We are ready with five singles until now. The next upcoming would be based on Indian regional, which we are thinking of shooting in the North East of India and the next would be an EDM track. The plan is to release a song in every three months.”

Mishra has been a part of music bands since his school days. Now he finally got a chance to promote his three-year-old band in Mumbai. “One day Ashwin, Nishit and I were jamming and that is when we thought of coming up with a single. It took us around two and half months to complete the project. We have together composed all the songs,” continues the singer. 

In the conversation, he also revealed the budget of his first single. “We managed to shoot our first single for a reasonable price of 15 to 20 lakhs. Travelling and shooting in Board of Spain people generally people spend around 50 lakhs,” he concludes.
