We try and make every song sound like our own by adding a new element: Pop Rock Band Misplaced

MUMBAI:  While there are many bands performing pop-rock, each band has a distinct quality. With the band  'Misplaced', their lead guitarist and vocalist Pronay thinks its their performance quality that sets them apart, "What is the most important thing about performing on stage is how you communicate and connect with the audience. Stage presence is very important and our band is always looking to present our performance in the best way."

The band came together with a common passion for music two years ago and since have been recreating iconic hits with their own twist. The band features five young and talented musicians like Pronay Roy (Guitar/Vocalist), Rishika Roy (Vocals), Sarthak Pawa (Drummer/Percussionist), Raaed Ehsaan Amin (Keyboards), Sahil Dhingra (Bass). "I and Sahil are school buddies and Rishika and Sarthak Pawa were together in school too. We were looking out for a keyboardists and that's how Raaed came in. Thus, we formed our band two years ago and have been performing regularly ever since." However, for their upcoming show only three would be performing-Sarthak, Pronay and Rishika.

Their music has a "sing along" groovy vibe with hints of rock and roll. They use a wide range of instruments ranging from Ukulele to Djembe, Harmonica, Cajon and more, adding a personal touch to the songs they play. "Its not usual that instruments like these are incorporated in pop-rock bands. However, our percussionist (Sarthak Pawa) can play multiple percussion instruments-Indian and Western both. Thus, we included instruments like Djembe, Cajon and more to bring in a new element, " continues Pronay.

This Friday, they are set to perform at hip and happening place The Irish House, Connaught Place, Delhi. "We have performed at many places in the city, but for this one we are super excited," said the guitarist.

"We try and make every song sound like our own by adding a new element. For this show we are presenting our version of Aint no Sunshine, a classic by Bill Withers, " signs off Pronay.
