'Dilbar' makes 100 million views at lightning speed

MUMBAI: Dilbar remake has become the current talk of the town owing to its record-breaking feat. Sung by Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanushali and Ikka, the song has now reached another milestone.

The song is sung by Neha Kakkar, Dhvani Bhanushali and Ikka.

On its success, excited Neha said, “To be honest, when I sang Dilbar, I didn’t have much expectations although, I loved the experience of recording the song with one of my favourite composers Tanishk."

"After the song came out, I realized what a vision Mr. Bhushan Kumar has. He’s the one, who decided to revisit Dilbar and it has broken all records. Really happy to have another blockbuster in my kitty with T-Series and many more to come,” she added.

Bhushan Kumar, who first came up with the idea of recreating Dilbar for Satyameva Jayate said, “We are ecstatic by this huge achievement that Dilbar has achieved. We would like to thank Neha, Nora, Dhvani, Tanishk, Nikhil, director Milap (Milan Zaveri), John (Abraham) and choreographer Adil (Shaikh) for making the song what it is with passion and hard work. The song is a proof that recreated songs work when there is a proper thought and strategy behind it.”

Dilbar remake has garnered 100 million views within just 12 days of its release. The sensual number features the hot Norah Fatehi and Bollywood’s handsome hunk, John Abraham.

20-year-old singer Dhvani Bhanushali, who has sung the new lyrics of this recreated version is quite thrilled with the song’s success.

Happy Dhvani exclaimed, “The song has indeed achieved a milestone and I feel amazing about its success. I am really motivated to work more.”

Dhvani further said, "An opportunity to sing for a recreated version of such an iconic song along with Tanishk sir and Neha is great. I am grateful to Bhushan Kumar sir, Nikkhil sir and Milap sir for giving me this opportunity."

Composed by Tanishk Bagchi, the lyrics of Dilbar are penned by Shabbir Ahmed and Ikka. The original vocals, sung by Alka Yagnik, are retained in this chartbuster.
