I hope to make music till I have the fire in me: Vishal Mishra

MUMBAI: For some getting a break through the Bollywood music industry takes ages while for others it’s just one click. Vishal Mishra is one music composers whose stars matched with the Bollywood stars. Vishal began his musical career two years ago but today he has projects like Race 3, Veerey Di Wedding and Yamla Pagla Deewana 3.

Talking about Race 3 Vishal says, “Salman Sir and I have been jamming even before Race was in picture. Now I am hoping the audience to like the songs. I have given the best to the music of Race. Salman Bhai, Remo Sir, Ramesh Taurani all has been very supportive. Interestingly, the songs have been penned by Salman Sir himself.”

Race 3 was an interesting project for Vishal as he directly associated with Remo D’Souza who is the choreographer of the movie and Salman Khan the lead. “Be it Salman Sir or Remo Sir they are very clear about what they want and that is what benefits me as a music director,” said the Pyaar Ho singer.

Atif Aslam who has been a constant voice in the music of Race series will also be a part of the upcoming release.  On having worked with the ace singer Vishal states, “Atif’s voice is gods gifted to him. He is also a very humble, kind and lovable. This is probably why people love Atif and the songs beyond infinity.”

The music director and the choreographer have been working closely on many other projects. “There is a film that I am doing with Remo Sir called Time To Dance featuring Isabelle Kaif and Sooraj Pancholi. This script I read three years back. So, I have been associated with this project since the beginning.”

It’s been two long years and Vishal has climbed the ladder of success but nothing has changed for him. “My Experience is the same as the first song. The excitement that I have about making music is the same and is just increasing day by day. I am grateful to be working and surrounded by such beautiful people. I just hope to make music till I have the fire in me,” said the composer-singer-director.

The talented man is also working on independent music that he expects to release in the next three months. “I am working on a song which can fit in all the genres. For me making music is with emotions and it comes to me very naturally. No matter what I am composing music for, the emotion is me, only the genre keeps changing,” he said.

He further talks about the most enthralling project of his life till date, Veerey Di Wedding. “I owe this project to Rhea Kapoor, she has made an amazing album. She has been the most fascinating and experimental to work. Its a big album with nine songs from which I have done four, Sashvat has done a few tracks, a composer called Karan has done a few, Sachin-Jigar and Badshah too,” said the Jaane De composer.

Vishal has some maddening songs to offer with this album, “I am working on songs with genres as Bailey like a House number, a Punjabi folk which is totally trap, Haryani folk that sounds like a Punjabi wedding cum hip hop number, an unplugged guitar version. The music experience for Veerey Di Wedding is going to be very different and maddening. It will not be a usual Bollywood sound.”

Before concluding, Vishal spoke about how amazing the Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 song experience was for him. “I was at my hometown when I got to work on this song. It is like a carnival festival which has Rekha Ji, Sonakshi, Sunny Deol, Salman, Bobby Deol, Dharmendra Ji, Remo Sir. I got this song called Rafta Rafta – this is going to be my first recreation. I have got an opportunity to sing, to record Rekha ji and Sonakshi rap, Dharmendra ji to dub dialogue. Overall it was a wonderful experience,” ends Vishal.
